Could I be A Book!

While working around the house,i wondered where one of the little fellows was.I looked at the play area and I could not see Him, I went to the Kitchens, bedrooms and checked around the living room and I did not see him. Panic struck me where could he have disappeared to. So I went ahead towards the door so as to find out whether he had gone out. Next to the door is a bookshelf, Lo! and behold, the boy had moved the books in one of the shelves to make space and he was lying right on the second shelf ,sharing the space with the books! In my shock, I carried him out and was left wondering, what was the thinking behind this? May be the Psychologists would help me understand the child's action.

I reflected on adults behavior as I helped the little fellow rest in a place I thought was more comfortable than the shelf. Are there times we loose our identities and behave as though we are other people? May be due to peer pressure we copy what our friends do,or buy what they have? At times it could be that we admire someone or a celebrity and we desire a life that is a replica of what they live? This makes us not be ourselves. It causes us to live other people's lives and therfore not able to fulfil the purpose for which we are in this planet.

God was wise enough to ensure that our finger prints do not march any other person's finger print. We are all unique in our own way.the moment we interfere with the authenticity of our being and keep living lives that are not our own,we are prone to mistake our identity and be misplaced in the shelf with books! It is my hope that we all find our rightful places in our lives so that we are able to fully live and enjoy our lives.
